Issue
#3 From the Hand of My Brother

WARNING: The following contains spoilers!
Jenn
is doing her usual morning kung-fu work out on the bags, thinking about
her father as the Black Tiger. Eric decides he is going to try and play
the hero role. Jenn comes home to find Brett and Masami, his student,
being a little too friendly. The news shows that the Los Santos City attorney’s
office has filed a gang injunction targeting members of the Red Dragon
Triad society. While looking for Skull Face, Black Tiger runs into an
old adversary/love interest of his father’s, Onryou, who tests his
mettle as a hero and finds him wanting. Black Tiger then goes up against
Malestrom, a villain who is killing people that Pac saved as the Black
Tiger, and defeats him. Malestrom boasts of how he will be out of jail
killing again. Joe talks to his partner about the police picking up the
villain and rushing him to emergency, where he is in critical condition,
and the fact that the witnesses claim to have seen nothing of what happened
to Malestrom. Joe and his partner go talk to Evel because word on the
street is that a war is brewing, but Evel seems unconcerned. Kenya and
Jenn (wearing the pink dress from the shoot) talk and Kenya convinces
Jenn that she needs to talk with her brother. After
hearing on the news and a special report of allegations that Black Tiger
is killing criminals, Jenn knows she must confront her brother. Jenn goes
to the restaurant, which acts as the front for the Red Dragon Triad Society
headquarters. In the privacy of Eric’s office, she confronts him
about their father previously being the Black Tiger and Eric currently
being the Black Tiger. Eric fesses up, but tells her he experienced things
when he received the Black Tiger’s Gift, including their dad’s
death and he knows what he has to do.
