#4 Gifts and Calling . . . Are Without Repentence
WARNING: The following contains spoilers!
Realizing
Eric is trying to get vengeance on Skull Face, Jennifer gains access to
the "Exclusive footage" of the Il BARtoromo incident and Black
Tiger's mask by sneaking into an evidence locker at the Los Santos police
headquarters, under the guise of picking up her late father's effects.
She asks to be alone, which is not the policy, but the guard allows it.
In his locker she sees old family pictures. The other Triad members get
together and talk about Eric's rise to power and his sister barging in.
Some aren't with it, but they quickly go off on a tangent, clowning Kenny
and Kelvin for getting rolled up by a girl. Tung and Popcorn get into
it for Popcorn shooting him and things are about to get ill but one of
them takes a call.
Jenn
takes the Il BARtoromo footage she snuck out of the police evidence locker
to Cyber-Boy (computer hacker), who is able to decode the scrambled portion
of the footage, revealing that Skull Face could not have killed the Black
Tiger.
Evel visits Eric at the Red Dragon Triad Society headquarters with Joe.
Joe uncomfortably stays in a front room with the Triad members, as Evel
and Eric talk alone in Eric's office. Evel reveals that he knows Eric
is both the leader of the Triad and the Black Tiger. Evel goes on to say
that Eric is not fit to be the Black Tiger and should give the power to
another before he does something to forever sully the name of the Black
Tiger and Evel is forced to bring him in. Eric flatly refuses and shows
Evel the door.
Jenn visits the mental institution where her grandfather, Ying Chi, is
held. The warden gives her a hard time because Ying Chi is not to be visited,
but gives in. Jenn tries to talk to Ying Chi, but he starts ranting about
returning the gift to its owner. Jenn receives a cell phone call regarding
a woman she is defending in a domestic violence dispute and leaves. Ying
Chi then calms down, looks at the surveillance camera in his room, and
sits down on the bed with his head in his hands.
That
evening the Black Tiger tracks the Ogre down to one of his hideouts, forces
the Ogre to reveal the whereabouts of Skull Face, who he was busting up
the diamond shop for, and then kills him.
